The United States is monitoring Russia's nuclear capabilities and sees nothing that would give "a reason to change the deterrence posture".

"We simply do not see any signs that Putin has decided to use weapons of mass destruction or even nuclear weapons", - said the spokesman for the US National Security Council, John Kirby.
