The UN issues a statement on the shelling of Zaporizhzhia: "This is utterly inadmissible"

The UN responded to the missile attack on Zaporizhzhia on August 10.

The press service of the Office of the UN Resident Coordinator in Ukraine reported this.

Denise Brown, Humanitarian Coordinator for Ukraine, said that during its trips, the UN used the Reikartz hotel, which was destroyed by Russians as a result of the shelling on August 10.

"In the name of humanity, I call on the Russian Federation to comply with their obligations under international humanitarian law and immediately stop indiscriminate attacks on Ukraine," Brown said.

She also added that the number of "indiscriminate attacks" that have damaged civilian infrastructure and caused casualties has reached " unimaginable levels." All these attacks, Brown stressed, are a violation of international law.

It will be recalled that on August 10, Russians launched a missile attack on Zaporizhzhia, killing one person and injuring 19. Among the wounded were four children.
