The suspects in the terrorist attack in Russia's Crocus City Hall could have been travelling to the Belarusian border, not, as Putin and the FSS said, to Ukraine

Minsk, Belarus ( Svidomi ) — Self-proclaimed President of Belarus Alyaksandr Lukashenka said that the suspects in the terrorist attack on Crocus City Hall in Russia were allegedly heading for the Belarusian border, according to the propaganda Belarusian media outlet BelTA.

"We activated our units due to the combat situation. Therefore, they could not enter Belarus in any way. They saw this. So they turned around and went to the Ukrainian-Russian border,"

Lukashenka said.

The unrecognised president of Belarus claimed that the Belarusian and Russian special services had cooperated and acted following previous agreements. Belarus blocked its section, and Russia blocked its section.

"We [Lukashenka and Putin] were on the phone. I asked him: "Do you need anything else?". — "No. Everything is fine." — He asked me: "Will you help me close it?" — "Yes, I will. We are doing everything. There is such a dialogue," the self-proclaimed head of Belarus said.

It will be recalled that the Kremlin has ordered state-owned media and media loyal to the Russian authorities to emphasise the alleged 'Ukrainian trace' in reports of the shooting in Crocus.

In his address, Vladimir Putin said that "the Ukrainian side had allegedly prepared a window" for the attackers to leave Russia.

According to Russian media, 137 people were killed in the shooting at Crocus City Hall in Russia. Another 182 were injured.
