The Russian army launched 99 air targets at Ukraine last night. There is destruction of energy infrastructure

Russians attacked Ukraine with Shahed-136/131 drones and Kinzhal, Iskander-M, Iskander-K and X-101/X-555 missiles.

Air defence systems shot down 84 air targets:

  • 58 Shahed-136/131 attack UAVs;
  • 17 X-101/X-555 cruise missiles;
  •  five X-59 guided missiles;
  •  four Iskander-K cruise missiles.

The attack damaged thermal and hydroelectric power plants in the centre and west of the country. Emergency power outages were announced in the Dnipropetrovsk region, and hourly power outage schedules were introduced in the Kharkiv region.

A total of six people were injured in the overnight attack.

Several energy facilities in the Dnipropetrovsk region, located in the centre of Ukraine, were damaged in the Dnipro, Kryvyi Rih and Kamianske districts. One man got injured. In Kamianske, Russians hit a dacha cooperative. Five people were wounded, including a five-year-old child.  

In some areas of Dnipro, there is no water supply after a massive attack on the night of March 29, Suspilne reports, citing local sources. 

In the Cherkasy region, in the centre of Ukraine, Russians hit an energy infrastructure facility. The falling drone fragments also damaged a non-residential building and smashed windows in a private household. In addition, a cruise missile was shot down over the Uman district. There were no casualties. 

In the Ivano-Frankivsk region, in the west of Ukraine, Russians also attacked a critical infrastructure facility. There were no casualties. 

In the Lviv region, also in the west of Ukraine, missile fragments damaged a critical infrastructure facility, the Regional Military Administration reports. A total of 11 drones and two Kinzhal missiles were shot down over the region. 

Also, in the west, air defence systems shot down Russian missiles in the Chernivtsi region. Emergency services are working at the sites where the wreckage fell. There were no casualties.

In the western region of Ukraine, Vynnytsia region, Russians hit a private house. There were no casualties. 

In the Kharkiv region, bordering Russia, Russians attacked the village of Vysokyi, damaging 11 private houses. A 70-year-old woman was injured and hospitalised. In Kurylivka, a private house was damaged as a result of aerial shelling. Two women got injured. Three apartments were damaged in Kupiansk. Two people are in hospital. Two private houses and an outbuilding were damaged in the village of Monachynivka. A 57-year-old woman died as a result of her injuries. A 31-year-old man was injured. In Vovchansk, Russians dropped a shell from an FPV drone on the primary healthcare centre. The roof of the building was damaged. A 59-year-old man was killed. The shelling also damaged at least ten private houses and two civilian cars in the town. Two people were injured.  

In the Zaporizhzhia region, where the frontline runs, Russians struck nine localities 386 times. There are 56 reports of the destruction of residential buildings and infrastructure. A 67-year-old man was injured when a UAV crashed in the Polohy district.  

In the Sumy region that borders Russia, Russians shelled the border areas 35 times. Mykolaivka, Khotin, Yunakivka, Bilopillia, Myropillia, Krasnopillia, Velyka Pysarivka, Putivl, Nova Sloboda, Shalyhyne, Esman, Seredyna-Buda communities were shelled. No damage or casualties were reported. 

In the Chernihiv region, bordering Russia, Russians shelled eight villages on the border. 

In the Mykolaiv region, in the south of Ukraine, the Ochakiv and Kutsurub communities came under attack. There were no casualties.  

In the Kherson region, which is located in the south of Ukraine and part of which has been partially occupied since 2022, Russians attacked Kizomys, Beryslav, Zolota Balka, Dudchany, Mykilske, Tiahynka, Novovorontsovka, Antonivka, Prydniprovske, Stanislav, Mykhailivka, Lvove and the city of Kherson. Twenty-one private houses were damaged. There were also hits to administrative buildings, a higher education institution, a critical infrastructure facility, a mobile phone tower, an agricultural enterprise, a farm, a shop, garages and warehouses, and cars. One person was killed, and eight were injured.
