The New York Times shares a video of a Russian missile hitting the car of volunteers who were helping a civilian in Bakhmut

The hit killed American volunteer Pete Reed and injured several people. He and a team of humanitarian workers were helping a wounded civilian in Bakhmut when the Russians launched a missile attack.

The video shows Reed and a group of medics standing next to a white van they were using to transport humanitarian supplies. A missile flying on a low trajectory struck the van directly.

"The type of weapon used in the attack — an anti-tank laser-guided missile — is typically launched when an armed person sees and selects a target," the journalists noted.
