The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation has launched an information campaign about Ukraine's alleged failed counteroffensive

The Russians spread three narratives: about an unsuccessful counteroffensive, that the West pushed Ukraine to conduct it for "political" reasons, and that Zelenskyy initiated the counteroffensive, while Zaluzhnyi, on the other hand, seemed to assess the unpreparedness of Ukrainian forces.

"Military actions of the scale of this counteroffensive do not succeed or fail in a day or a week," experts from the Institute for the Study of War (ISW) assure.

Ukraine will not carry out a blitzkrieg in the Kherson region, however, the Ukrainian military has been setting conditions for conducting counteroffensive operations for months, identifying vulnerable sectors of the Russians in the region. It is also noted that the counteroffensive may continue for the next weeks and possibly months.
