The Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine foils provocation of Russian pranksters against the Director General of "Baykar Defence"

This was reported by the press service of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine.

Russian special services tried to contact Baykar Defence Director General Khaluk Bayraktar and talk allegedly on behalf of the Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal, whose video image was created using "deepfake" technology.

The Main Directorate of Intelligence intercepted the phone call and informed the Russians that they would be brought to justice.

Ukrainian special services emphasize that in this way the Russians wanted to discredit cooperation between Ukraine and Turkey, and note the low level of training of Russian operatives.
