The level of harmful substances in the Inhulets River has increased

The State Ecological Inspectorate of Ukraine has recorded that the concentration of harmful substances in water samples from the Ingulets River exceeds the permissible limit. The samples were taken on 9 June - the Headquarters for the Elimination of the Consequences of the Kakhovka HPP Explosion.

Laboratory tests showed that the maximum permissible concentrations of ammonium nitrogen, iron and suspended solids were exceeded. Compared to June 8, the content of harmful substances has slightly decreased.

Due to the natural background of the river, the content of dry residue, an indicator of the amount of dissolved substances, is elevated.

The Inhulets is a right tributary of the Dnipro River that flows through the Kirovohrad, Dnipro, Mykolaiv and Kherson regions.
