The former head of the Antonov state enterprise receives a notice of suspicion — Russians destroyed the AN-225 Mriia aircraft due to his negligence — the Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine

Due to the official's improper performance of his duties, the world's largest aircraft had not been transported from the danger zone — the Antonov airfield in Hostomel, Kyiv region.

As a result of the shelling, the Russians destroyed the aircraft, causing almost UAH 8.5 billion in damage to the state.

Earlier, the officer was served a notice of suspicion of obstructing the legitimate activities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other military formations to protect and defend the airfield.

The suspect is currently in custody without any possibility of bail.
