The "court" in the temporarily occupied Crimea sentenced the Deputy Chairman of the Mejlis Nariman Celâl to 17 years in prison

In September 2021, the FSB kidnapped the deputy chairman of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar People, Nariman Celâl, as well as his acquaintances Asan and Aziz Akhtemov. Since then, security forces have been illegally detaining them, accusing them of blowing up the gas pipeline.

Brothers Aziz and Asan Akhtemov were sentenced to 13 and 15 years in prison. In particular, a fine of 700,000 rubles was imposed on Celâl, and a fine of 500,000 rubles on each Akhtemov.

Brothers Asan and Aziz Akhtemov were kept in an overcrowded cell without adequate conditions: 17 people are accommodated in Asan's cell with 10 beds, and 8-9 people in Aziz's cell with 6 beds. The conditions in the cells are unsanitary, there are rodents.
