The Chinese Foreign Ministry condemned the EU and UK sanctions against Iran — the message on the website of the Chinese Foreign Ministry

"China opposes the "illegal unilateral sanctions" imposed without the mandate of the UN Security Council and the basis of international law," says Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Wāng Wénbīn. 

He also stresses that China calls on "all interested parties to calm and restraint".
