The battalion commander of the 46th Separate Airmobile Brigade reports pressure from the command and a demotion due to an interview he gave to The Washington Post

Editor-in-chief of the Ukrainian bureau of The Washington Post, Isabelle Khurshudyan, and commander Anatolii "Kupol" Kozel said this in a comment to Suspilne.

On March 13, The Washington Post published an article that Ukraine lacks qualified troops and ammunition, and losses and pessimism are growing.

"Kupol" was one of the interviewees. He said inexperienced soldiers are sent to his battalion and not given time for their training. As a result, the battalion suffered heavy losses.

After the interview was published, Anatolii Kozel reported pressure from the commander of the Airborne Assault Forces, Major General Maksym Myrhorodskyi, and the Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Lieutenant General Yevhen Moisiuk.

According to Kupol, there is already an order regarding his transfer to the position of deputy commander of the training center battalion. In this regard, the soldier wrote a letter of resignation.

"Mr. Myrhorodskyi called me for a chat on Saturday and said: 'Well, if you're so smart, you're giving interviews, then you'll be demoted to the training center,'" Kupol said.
