Kyiv, Ukraine (Svidomi) — On the night of January 21, Russian troops attacked eight regions of Ukraine again. These regions border the Russian Federation, where the front line lies, and are located within the range of Russian heavy artillery.

Sumy region, which also borders Russia, was attacked by the Russian army 39 times. Local authorities counted 184 explosions. There were no casualties.

In the Chernihiv region, which borders Russia and Belarus in the north, the Russian army shelled four villages. No casualties have been reported.

In the south of Ukraine, Russians attacked the Mykolaiv region. Three communities came under attack there. In the Snihurivka community, a drone hit a residential building and a summer kitchen in the private sector. A fire broke out there. There were no casualties.

The Russian army fired 76 times at the de-occupied part of the Kherson region, also in the south. There were hits to residential areas of the settlements. There were no casualties.

In the Dnipropetrovsk region, the shelling hit the Marhanets community in the Nikopol district (bordering the temporarily occupied part of the Zaporizhzhia region across the Dnipro River — ed.) Five private houses, two outbuildings and a power line were damaged. As a result, more than 11 houses were left without electricity. The power has been restored to most of them. There were no casualties.

Russian troops attacked the Zaporizhzhia region, which is partially occupied by Russia, 95 times. 16 settlements came under fire. One person got injured. There were two cases of destruction of residential buildings.
