Stoltenberg: Providing Ukraine with Patriot air defense systems does not require NATO approval

The Secretary General of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization, Jens Stoltenberg, said this in a comment to a DW journalist.

According to him, the decision to transfer the Patriot air defense systems should be made by a separate country.

After the missile fell on the territory of Poland, Germany offered to transfer Patriot systems to Poland, to which the country replied that they would be better transferred to Ukraine. After that, Germany stated that the supply of systems to Ukraine should be agreed upon with NATO.
