Slaves are not allowed in paradise. This is the essence of the Ukrainian interpretation of freedom. This is the reason why there will be no enemy on our land - Volodymyr Zelenskyy's address on the occasion of the Day of the Heavenly Hundred Heroes

Ukrainians know what it is like to fight for their freedom: in the squares, on the barricades, on the front lines. In difficult and defining moments of history, we never give up, and we always show courage and selflessness. Ukrainians stand up for their brothers, and everyone who is Ukrainian is a brother.

Today, we honour the heroes who gave their lives for Ukraine and Ukrainians during the Revolution of Dignity - the Heavenly Hundred Heroes.People of different ages and professions, from different regions, but with the same and true values: respect for every person, freedom and equality, democracy, Ukraine's openness to the world and its unity with the whole of Europe, and, of course, Ukraine's independence - what motivated the Maidans to gather and defend themselves, what motivates us to fight and liberate our land now.

Nine years after the Revolution of Dignity, the battle for our independence continues. As we defend Ukraine now, we remember that our strength and fortitude are based on the strength and fortitude of many Ukrainians who did not give up, who dreamed and acted to make Ukraine live. An independent, free and strong Ukraine, European and democratic, independent and united. And there is no doubt that we will protect all this, that we will make the dream of Ukrainian heroes come true.

May the memory of all those who gave their lives for Ukraine and Ukrainians live forever! Eternal honour to the Heavenly Hundred Heroes!
