Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Russia, 900 Ukrainian teachers have gone to the front, announced Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal

"This is a great example of serving your people. We are greatly indebted to you, teachers," Shmyhal stressed.

At the ceremony of the Global Teacher Prize Ukraine, the Prime Minister congratulated teachers on their professional holiday and awarded gifts to educators who distinguished themselves with heroic actions during the full-scale Russian invasion. 

He noted that since the beginning of the full-scale war Russians had destroyed or damaged three thousand schools, another 1200 are under occupation.
