The petition's authors call on international institutions to intensify efforts for the exchange and return to Ukraine of all the defenders of Mariupol.
"The petition urges people to fight for everyone, without exception, because both the marines and the fighters of the Azov regiment are heroes, as well as the "Bears" unit, the police, border guards, and the National Guard of Ukraine, whom we are also waiting for at home," the Association notes.
In addition, the petition appeals to the UN, the European Union, the OSCE, the parliaments, and governments of NATO member countries with a call to recognize Russia's actions regarding the killing of Ukrainian POWs in Olenivka as a terrorist act; recognize the Russian Federation as a state-sponsor of terrorism and increase pressure on Russia and the states that cooperate with it and support its terrorist regime.
"Petitions may seem ineffective, but they help in information warfare. It is important to talk about it not only with Ukrainians but also with foreigners," adds the Association of Families of Azovstal Defenders.
