Russians increase production of Lancet kamikaze drones

Russia has allegedly increased the production of Lancet kamikaze drones.

Journalists of the Russian propaganda TV channel Russia 1 reported this.

The production of Lancets has allegedly increased 50 times since the start of the full-scale invasion.

The ZALA Aero Group, part of the Kalashnikov Concern, produces two versions of the kamikaze drone. Lancet 1 is a lightweight version of the drone that carries a one-kilogram warhead and can fly up to 40 kilometres. Lancet 3 carries 3 to 5 kg of warhead and can fly from 40 to 70 kilometres.

The drone is being developed as part of the concept of network warfare when kamikaze drones connected to a single neural network can distribute targets among themselves.

Ukrainian Air Force spokesman Yurii Ihnat also said on the national telethon that Russia is increasing production of UAVs, in particular the Shahed and Lancet kamikaze drones.

"They [the Russians] often try to hit our air defence facilities with them, i.e. radar stations, launchers. There is still a risk. That is why we also need to increase our air defence cover against drones," Ihnat said.
