Russians fired four Kh-47M2 Kinzhal missiles at Ukraine during the morning attack

The Russian army fired four Kinzhal missiles at Ukraine.

The Ukrainian Air Force reported this.

Ukrainian air defence managed to shoot down one missile in the Kyiv region.

The missile debris fell in the Dniprovskyi and Obolonskyi districts of Kyiv, damaging residential buildings and a children's hospital.

Ukrainian Air Force spokesman Yurii Ihnat said on the United News telethon that the Russians wanted to strike a military airfield in the Ivano-Frankivsk region, as well as pilots who will soon be sent to Europe to train on new types of aircraft, including the F-16.

"The missiles were aimed at military airfields that have been under enemy fire for months. This is the airfield of Starokostiantyniv (in the Khmelnytskyi region — ed.), which is most affected by the Russian occupiers' strikes. This time it is the Ivano-Frankivsk region," the spokesman said.

According to preliminary information, all four Kinzhal missiles were aimed at the Ivano-Frankivsk region.

One of the missiles hit a residential building in the Kolomyia district. An 8-year-old boy died as a result.

Explosions during the attack were also heard in Khmelnytskyi and the Vinnytsia region.
