Russians detained Director General of Zaporizhzhia NPP Ihor Murashov and took him to an unknown destination

This was reported by the press service of Energoatom with reference to the statement of the company's President Petro Kotin.

On September 30, the Russian military detained Murashov on the way from the station to Enerhodar, stopped the car, and he was abducted and taken away in an unknown direction. 

There is currently no information on the whereabouts of Ihor Murashov.

"ZNPP Director General is a licensed person - he bears the main and exclusive responsibility for nuclear and radiation safety of Zaporizhzhia NPP. His safety creates a danger of operation of the largest nuclear power plant in Europe", the statement said.
