Russians continue to target Ukrainian cities with Iranian Shahed-136/131 drones

On the night of February 11, the Russian attack on Ukraine's coastal infrastructure and agricultural facilities lasted more than 5.5 hours. 

The Ukrainian Air Force destroyed 40 of the 45 Shahed-136/131 UAVs. The drones were shot down in the Kyiv, Vinnytsia, Zhytomyr, Kirovohrad, Mykolaiv, Cherkasy, Odesa, Dnipropetrovsk and Kherson regions. 

The Russians attacked more than 22 settlements in the Kharkiv region, which borders Russia in the east, with artillery and mortars. A 56-year-old woman died as a result of the shelling of Vodiane by the KABs. A 58-year-old man got injured. Residential buildings and a farm were damaged. Five warehouse buildings were destroyed, and agricultural machinery was damaged. In Kharkiv, 30 kilometres from Russia, the aftermath of the February 10 strike is still being dealt with. There are two injured people in hospitals. Mourning for the dead was announced in the city.

In the Donetsk region, which has been partially occupied since 2014 and where the front line lies, the Russian army shelled the Pokrovsk, Kramatorsk and Bakhmut districts. Residential buildings, administrative buildings and a kindergarten were damaged.

In the Dnipropetrovsk region, Russians attacked the Nikopol district bordering the temporarily occupied part of the Zaporizhzhia region across the Dnipro River with heavy artillery. Residential buildings and a gas pipeline were damaged. In the Dnipro district, Ukrainian air defence shot down two Russian drones. A fire broke out. A 39-year-old man was lightly injured. 

In the Mykolaiv region of the south of Ukraine, Ukrainian air defence shot down eighteen Shahed 131/136 UAVs. An infrastructure facility in Mykolaiv caught fire as a result of a Russian drone strike. An administrative building, residential buildings, cars and a gas pipeline were damaged. One person was injured and hospitalised in moderate condition. The Ochakiv and Kutsurub communities came under artillery fire. There were no casualties. 

In the Odesa region, where Ukraine's seaport infrastructure is located, Ukrainian air defence destroyed four Russian drones.

Over the past 24 hours, Russian troops conducted 111 attacks on 21 settlements in the Zaporizhzhia region, which has been partially occupied since 2022. Aircraft shells, artillery, and UAVs hit Orikhiv, Mala Tokmachka, Robotyne, Zaliznychne, Bilohiria, and other frontline towns and villages. There were no casualties. 

The Russian army fired six times at the Hlukhiv, Esman and Bilopillia communities in the Sumy region, which borders Russia in the north of Ukraine. Ukrainian border guards recorded 26 explosions from mortars, artillery and MLRS, with no casualties.

In the Chernihiv region, which borders Belarus and Russia in the north, the Russian army attacked the border communities of Novhorod-Siverskyi, Semenivka, Snovsk and Horodnia with mortars and FPV drones. More than 20 explosions were recorded. 

In the de-occupied part of the Kherson region, the Russian military conducted 42 attacks, firing 201 shells from various types of weapons. The Russians hit residential areas, administrative buildings, a garage cooperative and port infrastructure in Kherson. As a result of the Russian shelling of Tokarivka, a 43-year-old man was wounded and taken to hospital in serious condition. The wounded man's 68-year-old mother died on the spot.

Ukrainian air defence defences shot down all the drones that aimed to attack the Ukrainian capital, Kyiv. According to preliminary reports, there were no casualties or damage in the capital. A fire broke out on the territory of an enterprise in the Kyiv region as a result of falling debris. Warehouses, a hangar, an administrative building and equipment were damaged. The fire has been extinguished. There were no casualties.
