Russians banned the work of the "Support of Melitopol" foundation in temporarily occupied Melitopol

This was reported to the Center for Investigative Journalism by the head of the foundation, Valerii Gazaiev.

It was the last Ukrainian fund working in the city.

According to the head of the foundation, on January 13, Russians came to the organization's premises, one of whom had an ID of a Russian FSB officer. They searched the premises, interrogated the volunteers on the spot, and seized their mobile phones "for additional verification."

Gazaiev adds that the Russians wanted to "talk separately" to the two volunteers and took them in for questioning but quickly released them.

Currently, volunteers do not have access to the foundation premises because the Russians took the keys. There is still humanitarian aid in the premises. And the fund's wards, including people with disabilities and the elderly, were left without help.
