Russians attack Ukraine with newly manufactured missiles

The Russian army is launching missile attacks on Ukraine with newly manufactured missiles.

Bloomberg writes about this.

Accordingly, these missiles have not passed the necessary tests.

The fact that these are newly manufactured missiles is evidenced by photos analysed by StateWatch and Bloomberg.

For example, in June, a missile fired from a Tornado-S MLRS was found in the Sumy region. The shell's markers indicate that it was manufactured on 19 May, although missiles usually undergo several months of testing before they appear on the battlefield.

According to StateWatch, batches typically go through several months of testing before they are used and deployed to the frontline.

The missile's body was marked with an expiry date of September 12, 2023. This may be an indication that Russian manufacturers are trying to send missiles to the front line as quickly as possible.

Since the device did not explode, the researchers were able to see its motherboard and other components that did not meet the finished specifications. Some parts were hand-soldered, and the components were manufactured by both Russian and American companies, including Intel-owned Altera Corp. and Analog Devices.

Both companies have stated that they do not sell to Russia and comply with all sanctions. Analog previously told Nikkei that it had made additional efforts to combat unauthorised resales. However, it is extremely difficult to completely stop such shipments, the company added.
