Russian strikes kill six people and injure 38 more over the past 24 hours

At night, Russians shelled Ukraine with Shahed drones. Air defence forces downed all 32 drones in the Mykolaiv, Odesa, Kherson, Dnipro, Kyiv, Chernihiv and Cherkasy regions. 

In the Kharkiv region, bordering Russia in the east of Ukraine, the Russians targeted Kurylivka, Kupiansk, Losivka, Borova, Bilyi Kolodiaz, Hlushkivka, Ruska Lozova, and Senkove. Three people were killed and four others were wounded. Private houses and an elevator warehouse caught fire at the sites of the strikes. 

The Russian army struck 2,434 times in the Donetsk region, located on the frontline in the east of Ukraine and partially occupied since 2014. Kostiantynivka, Krasnohorivka, Kurakhove, Lyman, Novohrodivka, Selydove, Ukrainsk, the villages of Hrodivka, Drobysheve, Pivnichne, Vyshneve, Vozdvyzhenka, Zavitne, Katerynivka, Kleban-Byk, Myrne, Mykhailivka, Novoolenivka, Petrivka, Stinky, and Tarasivka came under fire. Three people were killed and 24 others sustained injuries. Forty residential buildings, administrative buildings, cafes, a canteen, garages, agricultural machinery and cars, and critical infrastructure were damaged. 27 hectares of wheat were burned.

The Russian army conducted 32 attacks in the Sumy region, bordering Russia to the north. The Khotin, Yunakivka, Bilopillia, Krasnopillia, Velyka Pysarivka, Esman, and Shalyhyne communities came under fire. The military recorded 100 explosions. There were no casualties.  

In the Chernihiv region, bordering Belarus and Russia to the north, the Russian troops used cannon artillery, mortars and FPV drones to attack the Snovsk, Novhorod-Siverskyi and Semenivka communities. Border guards recorded 30 explosions.

In the Mykolaiv region, south of Ukraine, the Russians targeted the waters of the Ochakiv community, the Kutsurub community and the village of Lymany. A private house sustained damage. There were no casualties.

In the Kherson region, south of Ukraine, partially occupied since 2022, Osokorivka, Mykhailivka, Maksym Horkii, Dniprovske, Antonivka, Odradokamianka, Shevchenkivka, Beryslav, Yantarne, Virivka, Stanislav, Havrylivka, Kizomys, Mykilske, Lvove, Tiahynka, Dariivka and Kherson came under Russian shelling. Two multi-storey buildings and 11 private houses were damaged. A medical facility and a gas pipeline were hit, and outbuildings and a private car also got damaged. Three people received injuries. 

In the Dnipropetrovsk region, southcentral Ukraine, on July 4, the Russian army launched an attack on Nikopol, next to the temporarily occupied Enerhodar, where Zaporizhzhia NPP is located. Seven people were injured. Six apartment blocks and 11 private houses, six outbuildings, a car, a kindergarten, a library, an administrative building, a bank and a shop were damaged. A power line and a gas pipeline were damaged. The Zelenodolsk community also came under attack, with a building damaged. 

On the morning of July 5, Russians shelled Nikopol again, damaging a house and a minibus.

The death toll from the attack on Dnipro on July 3 rose to eight. 

Over the past 24 hours, Russians launched 272 attacks in the Zaporizhzhia region in the south, partially occupied since 2022. Ten settlements came under fire. There were nine reports of residential damage. No casualties were reported.
