Russian shelling of Kharkiv on the night of October 3 injures 12 civilians

On the night of October 3, Russia fired 105 Shahed combat drones at Ukraine. The Air Force reported the downing of 78 combat drones in the Kyiv, Cherkasy, Vinnytsia, Khmelnytskyi, Kirovohrad, Zhytomyr, Poltava, Chernihiv, Kherson, Odesa, Kharkiv, Sumy, Dnipropetrovsk, Rivne, and Ivano-Frankivsk regions. Twenty-three drones lost radar connection. 

In the Kharkiv region, bordering Russia to the east, the Russians shelled Kharkiv with guided aerial bombs. Residential buildings were damaged. Twelve people were injured, including a three-year-old child. The Russians also shelled Cherkaska Lozova, Zolochiv, Nechvolodivka, Kupiansk, Zakharivka, Nikopol village, and Kivsharivka. Eight civilians were injured.

In the Donetsk region, partially occupied since 2014 and located on the frontline in the east of Ukraine, the Russians struck 2732 times at Bilytske, Hirnyk, Kostiantynivka, Kramatorsk, Kurakhove, Lyman, Myrnohrad, Rodynske, Sloviansk, Toretsk, Andriivka, Katerynivka, Markove, Pishchane, Sontsivka, and Ulakly. Sixteen residential buildings, a hotel, a market, and power lines were damaged. Eleven civilians were injured. 

In the Dnipropetrovsk region in south-central Ukraine, the Russians shelled Nikopol and the communities of Myrove, Marhanets, Pokrovsk, and Chervonohryhorivka. Private houses, power lines, and outbuildings were damaged. Two civilians were injured.

In the Zaporizhzhia region in the south, partially occupied in the south since 2022, the Russians launched 402 attacks on Mala Tokmachka, Novoandriivka, Bilohiria, Temyrivka, Levadne, Novodarivka, Novodanylivka, Robotyne, Lobkove, Prymorske, and Huliaipole. Forty-one private houses were destroyed. The regional military administration reports no casualties. 

In the Mykolaiv region in the south of Ukraine, the Russians shelled Ochakiv and the Kutsurub community. The regional military administration reports no casualties.

In the Kherson region in the south of Ukraine, partially occupied since 2022, the Russians shelled Antonivka, Beryslav, Bilozerka, Burhunka, Sablukivka, Sadove, Havrylivka, Dudchany, Novoberyslav, Piatykhatky, Tomyna Balka, Shyroka Balka, Odradokamianka, Chervonyi Maiak, Kostyrka, Mykhailivka, Mykilske, Stanislav, Oleksandrivka, Zmiivka, Urozhaine, Kozatske, Prydniprovske, and Kherson. Thirteen private houses, a gas pipeline, outbuildings, a bus, and private cars were damaged. Eight civilians were injured, and two were killed. 

In the Poltava region in the central part of Ukraine, the Russians attacked the Kremenchuk and Lubny districts with combat drones. Outbuildings, warehouses, and a kindergarten were damaged. The regional military administration reports no casualties.

In the Kyiv region, Russians attacked Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine, with combat drones. The wreckage of the drones fell in the Desnianskyi district of the city. The city military administration reports no casualties.  

In the Chernihiv region, bordering Belarus and Russia to the north, the Russians shelled the communities of Snovsk, Semenivka, and Novhorod-Siverskyi. Private houses and infrastructure facilities were damaged. The regional military administration reports no casualties.

In the Sumy region, bordering Russia to the north, the Russians struck 153 times at 35 settlements in the region. Eight private residential buildings, a building on the territory of an educational institution, a private enterprise warehouse, and two civilian cars were damaged. One civilian was wounded.
