Russian shelling leaves 15,000 people without electricity in Kryvyi Rih district, Dnipropetrovsk region

On the night of February 3, Russia launched 14 attack drones at Ukrainian regions. Ukrainian air defence destroyed nine of them in the Dnipropetrovsk, Odesa, Mykolaiv and Zhytomyr regions.

In the Dnipropetrovsk region, the Russian army attacked the Kryvyi Rih district with at least five drones. Two fires broke out. Almost 15,000 people in the district have been left without electricity, and in Kryvyi Rih, two boiler houses supplying 43,000 customers have also been cut off. Some families have also been deprived of water supply. Emergency blackouts are introduced in the city.

In addition, the Russian army attacked the Nikopol district, which borders on the temporarily occupied territory of the Zaporizhzhia region across the Dnipro River. Residential buildings, an outbuilding and a power line were damaged.

In the Donetsk region, in the east, where the frontline lies, Russians attacked the Pokrovsk, Kramatorsk and Bakhmut districts. One person was injured in Avdiivka. Residential buildings and infrastructure were damaged.

In the Luhansk region, where the frontline runs, Russians attacked de-occupied Bilohorivka and Nevske, close to the frontline.

In the Zaporizhzhia region, which has been partially occupied since 2022, Russians launched 131 attacks on 19 settlements in the region. Orikhove, Mala Tokmachka, Huliaipole, Zaliznychne, and other frontline towns and villages came under fire from Russian MLRS, drones, artillery, and other weapons. Residential buildings and infrastructure were destroyed. There were no casualties.

The Russian army used artillery and mortars to attack approximately 15 settlements in the Kharkiv region, which borders Russia to the east. The warehouse of an agricultural enterprise was damaged. On the morning of February 3, Russians attacked civilian infrastructure in Kupiansk with 500kg bombs. A nine-storey building, power grids and other civilian infrastructure were damaged. The damage response is ongoing.

In the de-occupied Kherson region in the south of Ukraine, Russians conducted 67 attacks, using 218 shells from various types of weapons. Residential buildings, educational institutions, a medical facility and other critical infrastructure were damaged. Seven people were injured, including one child.

Ukrainian air defence destroyed one Russian UAV in the Mykolaiv region in southern Ukraine. In addition, the Russian army shelled the Ochakiv and Kutsurub communities with artillery and an FPV drone. There were no casualties.

In the north of Ukraine, Sumy region, which borders on Russia, the Khotin, Bilopillia and Krasnopillia communities came under fire from Russian mortars. Ukrainian border guards recorded at least 22 explosions. Ukrainian authorities also restricted traffic in a 5-km zone near the border. In January, Russians shot dead at least three Ukrainian civilians in this zone.

Russian military forces attacked three border communities in the Chernihiv region which borders Belarus and Russia. The Ukrainian military recorded 31 explosions.
