Russian shelling kills four people in Ukraine, wounds 47 others over the day

On the night of September 30, Russia attacked Ukraine with an Iskander-M ballistic missile, an X-59/69 guided missile, an X-31P anti-radar missile, and 73 Shahed combat UAVs. The Air Force Command reported shooting down 67 drones and an X-59/69 missile in the Kyiv, Cherkasy, Vinnytsia, Kirovohrad, Zhytomyr, Poltava, Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk, and Mykolaiv regions. One UAV flew in the direction of Belarus, and three more lost radar contact in the northern regions of Ukraine due to electronic warfare countermeasures. One UAV remains in Ukrainian airspace, and military operations are ongoing.

In the Zaporizhzhia region in the south, partially occupied in the south since 2022, Russia launched 393 attacks on the settlements there: Zaporizhzhia, Hasanivka, Rivnopillia, Huliaipole, Novodarivka, Novoandriivka, Robotyne, Malynivka, Mala Tokmachka, and Levadne. Sixteen people were injured. There were 163 reports of destruction of residential buildings and infrastructure.

In the Sumy region, bordering Russia to the north, the Russians fired 125 times at the communities of Khotin, Yunakivka, Myropillia, Bilopillia, Krasnopillia, Velyka Pysarivka, Nova Sloboda, Hlukhiv, Shalyhyne, Esman, Druzhba, Svesa, Yampil, and Seredyna-Buda. Ten people were wounded.

In the Donetsk region, partially occupied since 2014 and located on the frontline in the east of Ukraine, the Russian army shelled Dobropillia, Kostiantynivka, Pokrovsk, Shevchenko, Dachne, and Lysivka. Two people were killed, and three others were wounded. The shelling damaged 18 residential buildings, administrative buildings, a pharmacy, an enterprise, three trade pavilions, cars, critical infrastructure, a cultural center, a dormitory, an outbuilding, and an industrial facility.

In the Kherson region in the south of Ukraine, partially occupied since 2022, the Russian army shelled Kherson, Antonivka, Sadove, Bilozerka, Blahovishchenske, Kizomys, Shyroka Balka, Stanislav, Tokarivka, Inzhenerne, Mykilske, Novovorontsovka, Mykhailivka, Odradokamianka, Tomaryne, Zmiivka, and Vesele. One person was killed and 12 others were wounded. The shelling damaged a critical infrastructure facility, an administrative building, residential areas, 18 private houses, a gas pipeline, an outbuilding, a garage, buses, and private cars.

In the Kharkiv region, bordering Russia to the east, the Russians attacked Zolochiv, Odnorobivka, Kupiansk, Kovalivka, Bohuslavka, Ruski Tyshky, Kupiansk-Vuzlovyi and the Krasnokutsk community. Four people were wounded in the shelling. An agricultural complex, outbuildings, an outpatient clinic, the administration building, a cultural center, three cars, a car trailer, 18 private and five two-story houses, and a scooter were damaged. As a result of the shelling, three fires broke out in the open area.

In the Cherkasy region, central Ukraine, located along the Dnieper River, a fire broke out in an open area due to the fall of a Russian drone. There were no casualties.

In the Chernihiv region, bordering Russia and Belarus to the north, Russia fired 25 times at settlements. A school in the Novhorod-Siverskyi district was damaged, and a house and an outbuilding in another village. There were no casualties.

In the Dnipropetrovsk region in south-central Ukraine, the Russians attacked the communities of Nikopol, Marhanets, Pokrovske, and Myrove. One person was killed, and two others were wounded. Two multi-story buildings, a sports school, a tractor, three cars, 13 private houses, three outbuildings, four garages, a scooter, fences, and power lines were damaged. A fire broke out in an open area.

In the Mykolaiv region in the south of Ukraine, the Russians attacked the Kutsurub community and Bashtanka district. The shelling damaged two residential buildings and a critical infrastructure facility. A fire broke out in an open area. Information about the victims is being clarified.

In the Luhansk region, almost completely occupied by Russia, the Russians attacked Balka Zhuravka and Novoiehorivka with artillery, six aircraft missiles, and 63 drones. The regional military administration reports no casualties.
