Russian shelling kills four and wounds 42 over the past 24 hours

Russians targeted eight regions of Ukraine.

In the Kharkiv region, bordering Russia in the east of Ukraine, the Russians shelled Kozacha Lopan, Pivdenne and Karasivka. A private house, two cars, a warehouse building and power lines were damaged. Four people were injured. The attacks also caused a fire in a wheat field. In Kharkiv, a guided missile hit the territory of a civilian enterprise. There were no casualties. 

In the Donetsk region, partially occupied since 2014 and located on the frontline in the east of Ukraine, the Russians launched 2,576 attacks on settlements. Kurakhove, Kostiantynivka, Selydove, Toretsk, Ukrainsk, as well as the villages of Kurakhivka, New York, Pivnichne, Vovchenka, Yelizavetivka, Katerynivka, Komar, Memryk, Novodmitrivka, Odradne, Ostrovske, Sukha Balka, and Yasnobrodivka came under attack. 60 residential buildings, an administrative building, enterprises, educational institutions, a shop, cars, a gas pipeline and a power line underwent damage. Four people were killed and 27 others were injured.

In the Sumy region, bordering Russia to the north, the Russians fired 39 times at border communities. The Khotin, Yunakivka, Bilopillia, Vorozhbiansk, Myropillia, Krasnopillia, Velyka Pysarivka, Shalyhyne, and Seredyna-Buda communities suffered shelling. The military recorded 120 explosions. No casualties were reported. 

In the Chernihiv region, bordering Belarus and Russia to the north, the Russian army fired at the Snovsk and Semenivka communities. The military recorded 21 explosions. 

In the Mykolaiv region, south of Ukraine, the Russian military launched an artillery attack on Ochakiv. As a result, fires broke out in four residential buildings, seven outbuildings, and a recreational area. Dry grass on the territory of private houses also caught fire. The shelling damaged a low-pressure gas pipeline and a power line. There were no casualties.

In the Kherson region, south of Ukraine, partially occupied since 2022, Antonivka, Kizomys, Pryozerne, Yantarne, Oleksandrivka, Tokarivka, Inhulets, Shyroka Balka, Ulianovka, Beryslav, Tiahynka, Havrylivka, Novokaiiry, Chervonyi Maiak, Krupytsia, Zmiivka, Urozhaine, Burhunka, Mykhailivka, Vesele and Kherson came under Russian attack. Five multi-storey buildings and 11 private houses were damaged. A school, a kindergarten, a medical facility, a church, and a farm were hit; outbuildings and private cars were damaged. Nine people sustained injuries. 

Over the course of the day, the Russian army shelled the Nikopol community next to the temporarily occupied Enerhodar, where Zaporizhzhia NPP is located. The Russians also targeted the Myrove, Marhanets, Pokrovske, and Zelenodol communities in the Dnipropetrovsk region, southcentral Ukraine. An industrial enterprise and a power line were damaged. A fire broke out in one of the wheat fields. There were no casualties.  The body of a woman was found under the rubble of a house in Dnipro that was attacked by Russians on 28 June. The death toll has risen to two. 

Over the past 24 hours, Russians fired 429 times at 11 localities in the Zaporizhzhia region in the south, partially occupied in the south since 2022. Two people were injured. There were eight reports of residential buildings and infrastructure being destroyed.
