Russian shelling injures six children on July 2
The Russians shelled Kharkiv, Borova, Ruska Lozova, Novoosynove, Shevchenkove, Kupiansk-Vuzlovyi, and Mali Prokhody, in the Kharkiv region, bordering Russia in the east of Ukraine. Twelve people were injured, including two children. One person was killed in Borova.
In the Donetsk region, partially occupied since 2014 and located on the frontline in the east of Ukraine, the Russians launched 2,576 attacks on Kurakhove, Kostiantynivka, Selidove, Toretsk, Ukrainsk, Kurakhivka, New York, Pivnichne, Vovchenka, Yelyzavetivka, Katerynivka, Komar, Memryk, Novodmytrivka, Odradne, Ostrivske, Sukha Balka, and Yasnobrodivka. Four people were killed and 27 were wounded, including one child in Novodmytrivka.
In the Luhansk region, almost completely occupied by Russia, the Russians shelled Nevske and Makiivka 117 times with MLRS, attack drones and artillery. According to the regional military administration, there were no civilian casualties.
In the Dnipropetrovsk region, southcentral Ukraine, the Russians targeted Dnipro with attack drones and cruise missiles on the morning of July 3. According to preliminary reports, a shopping centre and a medical facility were damaged. Four people were killed and 27 injured, including one child. Russians launched artillery and combat drones at the Pokrovske, Chervonohryhorivka, and Nikopol communities, next to the temporarily occupied Enerhodar, where Zaporizhzhia NPP is located. Four people were killed and ten injured, including two children.
In the Zaporizhzhia region in the south, partially occupied since 2022, the Russians conducted 386 attacks with MLRS, aircraft, artillery and combat drones on Mala Tokmachka, Robotyne, Malynivka, Novoandriivka, Huliaipole, Levadne, Orikhove and Stepnohirsk. 14 private houses suffered damage. According to the regional military administration, there were no casualties.
In the Mykolaiv region, south of Ukraine, the Russians fired combat drones at the Kutsurub community, damaging several cars. A fire broke out in the wheat field. The regional military administration reports no casualties.
In the Kherson region, south of Ukraine, partially occupied since 2022, the Russians shelled Poniativka, Stanislav, Sadove, Mykhailivka, Sofiyivka, Mykilske, Novodmytrivka, Beryslav, Kizomys, Kachkarivka, Kozatske, Veletenske, Burhunka, Tokarivka, Tiahynka, Chervonyi Maiak, Dudchany, Antonivka, Tomyna Balka, Bilozerka, Inhulets, Oleksandrivka, Ulianivka, Lvove, Olhivka, Mykolaivka and Kherson. Several apartment blocks and 13 private houses, a kindergarten, a gas pipeline and private cars suffered damage. 15 people were injured, and one person was killed.
In the Chernihiv region, bordering Belarus and Russia to the north, the Russians opened fire on the communities of Snovsk, Semenivka and Novhorod-Siverskyi with mortars, artillery and combat drones. Private houses and outbuildings sustained damage. There were no casualties.
In the Sumy region, bordering Russia to the north, the Russians struck 96 times at the Bilopillia, Krasnopillia, Myropillia, Esman, Khotin and Velyka Pysarivka communities with mortars, combat drones and artillery. The regional military administration reported no casualties.
