Russian shelling in Donetsk region kills one civilian, wounds two others

On the night of September 11, Russia attacked Ukraine with one Iskander-M ballistic missile, two S-300 anti-aircraft guided missiles, six X-31P anti-radar missiles, and 25 Shahed combat UAVs. As a result of the air battle, 20 attackcombat UAVs were shot down, and five enemy drones lost radar contact  (no information was received about casualties or damage as a result of the night attack of these targets). Air defence was active in the Kyiv, Kherson, Cherkasy, Sumy, Dnipropetrovsk, and Poltava regions.

In the Donetsk region, located on the frontline in the east of Ukraine and partially occupied since 2014, the Russian army assaulted Hirnyk, Kostiantynivka, Kramatorsk, Pokrovsk, Toretsk, Cherkaske, Shcherbynivka, Hnativka, and Novoekonomichne. As a result of the artillery shelling, Russians killed one civilian in Hnativka, and wounded two others in Hnativka and Novoekonomichne. The shelling damaged or destroyed residential buildings, businesses, critical infrastructure and vehicles.

In the Kherson region, south of Ukraine, partially occupied since 2022, Russia shelled Kherson, Poniativka, Beryslav, Mykhailivka, Kachkarivka, Oleksandrivka, Antonivka, Berehove, Bilozerka, Dniprovske, Veletenske, Stanislav, Kozatske, Mykilske, Tiahynka, Sadove, Novovorontsovka, and Odradokamianka. As a result of Russian aggression, 13 civilians were injured. An educational institution, private houses, a gas pipeline, and vehicles sustained damage or were destroyed. 

In the Dnipropetrovsk region, south-central Ukraine, the Nikopol, Marhanets, Myrove and Chervonohryhorivka communities suffered from Russian night shelling. As a result, one person was injured in Nikopol, and civilian infrastructure, apartment buildings, private houses, a lyceum, a kindergarten, an administrative building, power lines and transport were damaged in the communities. 

In the Chernihiv region, bordering Belarus and Russia to the north, Russian troops fired artillery, mortars, UAVs and UAVs at settlements in Novhorod-Siverskyi, Semenivka and Snovsk communities. As a result of the shelling, a man was injured and a residential building in the village of Khotiivka, Semenivka community, caught fire. 

In the Kharkiv region, bordering Russia in the east of Ukraine, Russian troops fired at Kupiansk and Kozacha Lopan with tanks, artillery and UAVs. No one was injured in the attacks. A cultural centre, a grain warehouse, and a vehicle were damaged. 

In the Sumy region, bordering Russia to the north, Russians shelled the Khotin, Krasnopillia, Esman, Znob-Novhorod, Berezivka, Seredyna-Buda and Velyka Pysarivka communities with UAVs, mortars and artillery. There is no information on casualties or damage.

In the Zaporizhzhia region, partially occupied in the south since 2022, the Russians targeted Novodarivka, Mala Tokmachka, Huliaipole, Novoandriivka, Novodanylivka, Robotyne, Malynivka and Olhivske with UAVs, aircraft, MLRS and artillery. In total, the Russians launched 356 attacks on eight localities. The attacks damaged or destroyed infrastructure and residential buildings. No casualties were reported. 

In the Mykolaiv region, south of Ukraine, Russia shelled the waters of the Ochakiv community and the Kutsurub community with artillery. No casualties or damage were reported. 

In the Luhansk region, almost completely occupied by Russia, the Russian army shelled Nevske and Makiivka with artillery and UAVs. No casualties or damage were reported.
