Russian leadership is trying to shift the blame for its failures on the military — British intelligence

The intelligence notes that the recent reshuffle among the leadership of the Russian army, related to the failures of the Russian army in Ukraine, is an attempt to isolate and deflect the blame from the top leadership within the Russian Federation.

The Ministry of Defenсe notes the pattern of blaming senior Russian military commanders for failures in achieving the set goals. In particular, they refer to the reports of Russian propaganda media about the dismissal of the commander of the troops of the Central Military District of the Russian Federation Lapin Aleksander.

If the information is confirmed, it will be the third replacement of the district commander: the commanders of the eastern, southern and western military districts have already been replaced in the Russian Armed Forces.
