Hungary has welcomed the Russian Minister of Health.
Hungarian Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó wrote about this on his social media.
This is a rare visit by a member of the Russian cabinet to an EU and NATO member state. Hungary remains the only EU and NATO member state that still maintains close relations with Russia.
"Sanctions are narrowing the scope for cooperation, but there are still opportunities in important areas such as nuclear energy, agriculture, pharmaceuticals and healthcare," Szijjártó wrote.
As a reminder, on June 26, at a meeting of the EU Council at the level of foreign ministers, Hungary once again failed to approve the transfer of €500 million in aid to Ukraine.
