They managed to establish that Russian government officials, with the help of illegal armed groups of "Donetsk/Luhansk People's Republics", organized the deportation of Ukrainian children from the temporarily occupied territories to Russia.

Molfar found that Ukrainian children could be deported according to the following scheme: first, the "dpr" security forces find children. These can be orphans who became orphans because of Russia's war against Ukraine, or children whose parents, according to the decree of the occupation "authorities", were deprived of parental rights. After that, they transfer the children to the headquarters of "Into Children Hands", which deals with the deportation and further fate of the children.

According to the reports of the organization, Ukrainian children are held in seven places in the Russian Federation.

Officially, the Russian Ministry of Defence claims about more than 300 thousand children who were forcibly deported from the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine. Ukrainian human rights activists emphasize that the number of imported Ukrainian children may be higher, about 700 thousand.
