Russian Black Sea Fleet Commander was allegedly present at a meeting of the Russian Defence Ministry Board

After the Special Operations Forces announced the death of Russian Black Sea Fleet Commander Viktor Sokolov, the Russian Ministry of Defence showed a video of a meeting of the department's board, where Sokolov was allegedly present. Now, the Special Operations Forces are collecting data and clarifying information about his death.

The commander allegedly joined the meeting over video.

Following this, the SOF reported that its sources claimed he had died.

The bodies of many of the Russians have not yet been identified due to the disparate nature of the body fragments.

"Since the Russians were urgently forced to publish a response with Sokolov allegedly alive, our units are clarifying the information. This is part of the procedure for collecting data on the results of the operation," the SOF added.
