Russian attack in Donetsk region kills three, injures five more

In the Donetsk region, located on the frontline in the east of Ukraine and partially occupied since 2014, Russia attacked Hirnyk, Kramatorsk, Kurakhove, Toretsk, Kleban-Byk, Oleksandro-Kalynove, Predtechyne, and Shchurove. Five civilians were injured and three were killed. Twenty-one residential buildings, administrative buildings, enterprises, a trade pavilion, utility structures, and cars sustained damage. Over the day, 3,132 shellings were recorded in the region. 

In the Cherkasy region, centre of Ukraine, located along the Dnipro river, Russia launched UAV attacks in Cherkasy, the Cherkasy Uman districts. Two civilians suffered injuries. Several houses, private businesses, and infrastructure sustained damage as a result of hits and falling debris. Dry grass and forest floor caught fire. 

In the Zaporizhzhia region, partially occupied in the south since 2022, Russians targeted Stepnohirsk, Kamianske, Lobkove, Orikhiv, Novoandriivka, Novodanylivka, Bilohirie, Huliaipole, Robotyne, Mala Tokmachka, Malynivka, Poltavka, Prymorske, Staroukraiinka, and Zaliznychne. Nineteen residential buildings and infrastructure facilities sustained damage. Russia shelled the region 314 times during the day.

In the Kyiv region, bordering Russia to the north, wreckage from downed drones caused a forest floor fire and damaged an outbuilding. The Kyiv city and Kyiv regional military administrations reported no casualties. 

In the Dnipropetrovsk region, south-central Ukraine, Russia shelled the Nikopol, Chervona Hryhorivka, Marhanets, Pokrovsk and Myrove communities. As a result of the shelling, dead wood burned, and nine outbuildings, an enterprise, twelve private houses, two garages, a car, a power line, and infrastructure facilities sustained damage.

In the Mykolaiv region, south of Ukraine, the Russian army shelled Ochakiv, Ochakiv and Kutsurub communities. A car was damaged. The regional military administration reports no casualties.

In the Sumy region, bordering Russia to the north, the Russians shelled the Yunakivka, Sumy, Putivl, Velyka Pysarivka, Khotin, Krasnopillia, Esman, Bilopillia, Druzhba, Nova Sloboda, Yampil, Seredyna-Buda, Hlukhiv, and Okhtyrka communities. One person sustained injuries. 

In the Kharkiv region, bordering Russia in the east of Ukraine, the Russians shelled Peresichne, Novooleksandrivka, Kupiansk, Zakharivka, Novoosynove, Velyki Prokhody, Perovske, Zahryzove, and Osynove. As a result of the shelling, fires broke out, burning grass, reeds, three shops and an outbuilding. Two private houses, outbuildings, a car and an excavator were damaged. Four people were injured. 

In the Kherson region, south of Ukraine, partially occupied since 2022, Russia attacked Kherson, Chornobaivka, Antonivka, Prydniprovske, Sadove, Komyshany, Veletenske, Kizomys, Stanislav, Beryslav, Novovorontsovka, Krasnyi Maiak, Tokarivka, Novodmytrivka, Havrylivka, Khreshchenivka, Novoberislav, Tomaryne, Novohrednieve, Poniativka, and the Beryslav district. Six civilians were injured. A medical facility, a kindergarten, a car park, a multi-storey building, 24 private houses, communication equipment, a bus, gas pipelines and cars suffered damage. 

In the Chernihiv region, bordering Belarus and Russia to the north, the Russian army shelled Leonivka of the Semenivka community. As a result of the shelling, 15 residential buildings caught fire. No casualties were reported.

In the Luhansk region, almost completely occupied by Russia, the Russian army attacked Nevske, Stelmakhivka, and Makiivka. Russia used artillery and drones to carry out the attacks.
