Russia launched missile attacks on Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine. 53 people got injured

On the night of December 13, the Russian army attacked Kyiv with 10 ballistic missiles.

The Kyiv City Military Administration reports.

All the missiles were shot down by Ukrainian air defence. Debris fell in four districts of the city.

As of 07:30 (Kyiv time), 53 people have been reported injured. Eight of them are children. 20 people were taken to hospital.

"34 people sustained cut wounds. Eight more have an acute stress reaction. The rest have closed cranial traumas, abrasions, burns and other injuries," said Serhii Mrochko, head of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration.

In the capital, multi-storey and private houses, power lines, a kindergarten and a children's hospital were destroyed or damaged. Windows were smashed, and the main entrance was damaged. Fires broke out in many places.

The liquidation of the consequences of the strike is ongoing.

It will be recalled that on December 12, Kyivstar, Ukraine's largest mobile operator, suffered a massive hacker attack. As a result, users were left without mobile communications and the Internet.

Kyivstar provides mobile and data services to more than 24.3 million customers and fixed-line internet to more than 1.1 million users.

The outage has caused some bank terminals and ATMs to shut down and public transport out of service. In some cities, the air raid warning system was temporarily down.
