Russia launched a massive missile attack on Kyiv on the morning of July 8. Children's Hospital "Ohmatdyt" was damaged

On the morning of July 8, the Russian army launched a massive missile attack on Kyiv. In Solomianskyi, Dniprovskyi, Darnytskyi, Shevchenkivskyi and Holosiivskyi districts, missile fragments fell and damaged an office building, high-rise buildings, a private house, and a children's medical facility. According to Suspilne, they hit the children's hospital "Ohmatdyt". Eleven people were injured, and seven died. Emergency services are currently dealing with the aftermath of the attack.

The Russian army launched a missile attack in the morning on Dnipro and Kryvyi Rih. A high-rise building and an automobile repair shop were damaged in Dnipro. People were injured. In Kryvyi Rih, an industrial enterprise was hit. According to preliminary reports, 31 people were injured and ten killed. The consequences are being clarified.

Air defence forces destroyed three out of four X-101 cruise missiles in the Zhytomyr and Cherkasy regions on the night of July 8.

In the Kharkiv region, bordering Russia in the east of Ukraine, the Russians shelled Kharkiv, Novoplatonivka, Bohuslavka, Bilyi Kolodiaz, Kolisnykivka, and Mytrofanivna with guided aerial bombs and MLRS. Four people were injured.

In the Donetsk region, partially occupied since 2014 and located on the frontline in the east of Ukraine, the Russians launched 2,275 attacks on Kurakhove, Hrodivka Illinka, Kurakhivka, Novoekonomichne, the village of New York, Pivdenne, Veselyi Hai, Kostiantynopilske, Memryk, Mykhailivka, Novoselydivka, Pleshchyivka, and Yantarne. Fourteen residential buildings and a granary were damaged. Four people were injured, and two were killed.

In the Luhansk region, almost completely occupied by Russia, the Russians shelled Nevske, Makiivka, Kuzemivka and Stelmakhivka with artillery. Previously damaged houses were destroyed. According to the regional military administration, there were no casualties.

In the Dnipropetrovsk region in southcentral Ukraine, the Russians shelled Nikopol and the communities of Marhanets and Pokrovsk with artillery and attack drones. Four people were injured, including one child.

In the Zaporizhzhia region in the south, partially occupied in the south since 2022, the Russian army launched 282 attacks with MLRS, artillery and attack drones at Huliaipole, Mala Tokmachka, Novoandriivka, Robotyne, Staroukrainka, Malynivka and Levadne. Private houses were destroyed. According to the regional military administration, there were no casualties.

In the Mykolaiv region in the south of Ukraine, the Russians shelled the Kutsurub community, Solonchaky and Dniprovske. A State Emergency Service fire truck was damaged, but the rescuers were not injured.

In the Kherson region in the south of Ukraine, partially occupied since 2022, the Russian army shelled Beryslav, Tiahyntsi, Kizomys, Veletenske, Komyshany, Odradokamianka, Romashkove, Bilozerka, Novooleksandrivka, Poniativka, Mykhailivka, Antonivka, Klapai, Shevchenivka and Kherson. Two multi-storey buildings and 19 private houses, an administrative building, a shop and a gas pipeline were damaged, as well as outbuildings, a warehouse and a motorbike. Two people were wounded.

In the Chernihiv region, bordering Belarus and Russia to the north, the Russians shelled the Semenivka community with mortars and artillery. According to the regional military administration, there were no casualties.

In the Sumy region, bordering Russia to the north, the Russians launched a missile attack on the suburbs of Sumy on the night of July 8. A critical infrastructure facility was damaged. Russians also shelled the communities of Bilopillia, Krasnopillia, Seredyna-Buda and Znob-Novgorod with mortars and attack drones. According to the regional military administration, there were no casualties.
