Russia fires an Iskander-K cruise missile, guided missile X-59 and 20 attack drones. There are dead and injured

Ukrainian Air Defence shot down all the Shaheds and the X-59 missile. The Russian Iskander-K missile, according to the Ukrainian Air Force, "did not reach its target".

Odesa region: Russians attack the region with drones for the third time in a week. On the night of December 17, Ukrainian Air Defence shot down nine Iranian kamikaze drones over the Odesa region. One of the drones crashed in a residential area. A fire broke out. One person died. At least three multi-storey buildings were damaged.

Mykolaiv region: the Russian army attacked Ochakiv and the water area of the Ochakiv community. There were no casualties.

Kherson region: Russian troops fired 96 times at the southern region, launching 577 shells from various types of weapons. An administrative building, an educational institution, and an enterprise in Kherson were damaged. No one was injured or killed.

Zaporizhzhia region: Russian troops struck 174 times at 21 localities, including Orikhiv, Poltavka, Mala Tokmachka and other frontline towns and villages. In Huliaipole, a 55-year-old woman and a 73-year-old man were wounded and taken to hospital as a result of Russian shelling.

Dnipropetrovsk region: Russians attacked the frontline towns of Nikopol and Pokrovske twice during the night. There were no casualties.

Donetsk region: Russian troops attacked the Vuhledar, Kurakhove, Mariinka, Toretsk, Chasiv Yar and Lyman communities. One person was killed during the shelling of Illinivka. Three other people were injured in Kurakhove, Veselyi Hai and Illinivka. Residential buildings, a cultural institution, an industrial area, warehouses and outbuildings were damaged.

Kharkiv region: the Russian army attacked more than 20 settlements in the Bohodukhiv, Kharkiv, Chuhuiv and Kupiansk districts. Private households and outbuildings were destroyed. There were no casualties.

Sumy region: the Russian military carried out nine mortar attacks on the border of the Krasnopillia and Znob-Novhorodske communities. 20 explosions were recorded. On December 16, one person was injured during the Russian shelling of Basivka in the Yunakivka community.

Chernihiv region: Russians shelled the border community of Semenivka with infantry fighting vehicles and mortars. No casualties were reported.

Khmelnytskyi region: Ukrainian air defence shot down two Shahed UAVs. The wreckage fell on a house, causing a fire. No one was injured or killed.
