Russia blocks the UN Security Council resolution on non-recognition of the status of the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine as part of the Russian Federation

This is evidenced by the broadcast of the UN Security Council meeting.

The representative of the Russian Federation, as a permanent member of the Security Council, voted against the adoption of the resolution.

"The result of the voting on the draft resolution is as follows: "in favor" - ten countries, one - "against", four abstentions. The draft resolution was not adopted due to the vote against the permanent member of the Council," said the UN Security Council President, Ambassador Nicolas de Rivière, Permanent Representative of France to the UN.
