Romania approves terms of import of Ukrainian grain

The Romanian government has approved the terms of imports of Ukrainian agricultural products.

The government's website reports.

Both the Ukrainian side and local farmers agreed on these terms.

Imports of Ukrainian grain will be possible only for Romanian farmers and processors who prove that it is needed to replenish stocks. In addition, only grain that meets the quality standards confirmed by the ANSVSA certificates based on samples received and analysed can be processed or used as feed.

According to the import mechanism, Romanian farmers and processors who want to replenish their stocks submit documents confirming the need for imports. The ANSVSA reviews the documents and decides whether or not to allow the import. The ANSVSA issues a certificate of conformity for the imported products based on the analysis of a sample provided to the importer. The Ministry of Agriculture issues an agreement to the farmer or processor to supply the market with the required quantity. Before entering the processing or supply chain, the product is inspected by the ANSVSA to re-check its quality.
