Roman Ratushnyi and "young fallen soldiers of Ukraine" were nominated for the IFLRY Freedom Award 2022 posthumously
The petition was signed by 19 liberal organizations, including organizations from the UK, Hungary, Bulgaria, the Netherlands, Norway, Belgium, Finland, Denmark, Romania, Lithuania, Poland, the USA, Sweden, and Andorra.
The International Federation of Liberal Youth (IFLRY) was founded in 1947 as the World Federation of Liberal Youth (WFLRY) in Cambridge, United Kingdom. It awards the annual Freedom Award for the greatest contribution of youth to world freedom and democracy.
