Rally to mark one year since terrorist attack in Olenivka held in Kyiv

In Kyiv, a rally to mark one year since the terrorist attack on POWs in Olenivka was held in front of the Russian Embassy.

This was reported by a Svidomi correspondent.
On the night of July 29, 2022, Russians committed a terrorist attack in a colony where Ukrainian POWs were held. Before that, the military had defended Mariupol and the Azovstal plant.
According to the Russian side, 53 people were killed and 130 injured. The colony is located on the territory occupied since 2014.

"The Russian Federation acted very insidiously, without honour or dignity. The captured soldiers were just resting when they were blown up at night. The territory of this barrack was locked, and it was good that we managed to break the bars. The wounded waiting to be evacuated lay on the asphalt for 4-6 hours and died. The most memorable thing I remember was how the [illegal armed group] "DNR" supervisor looked out from behind the fence and smiled. The man was sincerely happy that everything had gone as planned," said an Azov Brigade soldier with the call sign Puhach (Owl) who survived the attack.

The event featured a theatrical performance with an explosion scene. Afterwards, the victims were honoured with a minute of silence and a joint prayer.
