Rallies in support of Ukraine were held in a number of countries
In Poland, a rally was held in Warsaw near the Russian Embassy. Afterwards, the protesters marched to the Polish Sejm building.
In the Czech Republic, a large Ukrainian flag was unfurled in Prague's main square to demonstrate support for Ukraine. Activists also held a performance near the Russian Embassy. They cut off two heads of a paper eagle and threw balloons with red paint at the embassy wall.
In Finland, the city of Joensuu hosted a "Candle of Peace" rally with 300 people participating.
In Georgia, a rally in solidarity with Ukraine was held in the capital, organised by opposition political parties, students and other members of the public.
In the United States, a candlelight vigil was held in the capital near the Russian Embassy, and on Saturday, February 25, a mass rally will be held at the Lincoln Memorial.
In Lithuania, Freedom Shines rallies were held in Vilnius and a number of cities. The capital also hosted a concert of Radarom.
In Slovakia, a memorial march was held in Bratislava from the Hodžovo námestiе to the Ukrainian embassy to honour the memory of those who died in the war.
In Austria, a rally was held in Vienna, with the main message to circulate a petition among Austrians to recognise Russia as a terrorist state. Later, the participants honoured the memory of the victims of the war.
