Political prisoners from Crimea are being transported to a secret detention centre in Chonhar — Lubinets

The Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights, Dmytro Lubinets, said that Russians are transporting political prisoners from Crimea to a secret detention centre in the village of Chonhar, Kherson region.

Dmytro Lubinets wrote about this on his social media.

Some of the political prisoners who were previously held in detention centre No. 2 in Aqmescit (Simferopol) have already been transferred there. People detained by the Russians in the temporarily occupied Kherson and Zaporizhzhia regions are also being held there.

Lubinets says that the new detention centre holds, among others, 10 detainees on suspicion of involvement in the Noman Çelebicihan Crimean Tatar battalion.

"Such detention is illegal! It is a violation of human rights and freedoms by the occupation administration. All illegally imprisoned persons who are being held in places of detention on falsified charges must be released," Lubinets added.
