Polish farmers to partially block Lithuanian border from 1 March

Vilnius, Lithuania (Svidomi) — Polish protesters plan to block the road at the Kalvarija — Budzisko border crossing on the Polish-Lithuanian border, Lithuanian public broadcasting reported.
Lithuanian Agriculture Minister Kęstutis Navickas said he was preparing for a possible blockade on the Lithuanian-Polish border and planned to prepare for the worst-case scenario.
Polish protesters accused Lithuanians of allegedly processing Ukrainian grain and passing it off as Lithuanian.
"As for the protesters' demands to the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Lithuania, we have not received them. There are only abstract points," said Kęstutis Navickas.
Ramūnas Dilba, Chancellor of the Ministry of Transport, said that 6.6 thousand people cross the Kalvarija — Budzisko border crossing point daily.
"The Kalvarija — Budzisko border crossing is the main transport artery for carriers from Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia. It will also cause logistical problems, and carriers will suffer some damage," Ramūnas Dilba said.
Earlier, Polish protesters blocked the border with Germany and border crossings with Ukraine. During their actions, they scattered Ukrainian grain that was in transit through Poland.
