Police in Moldova find drone wreckage after Russian attack on the south of Ukraine

Etulia, Moldova (Svidomi) — Moldovan border police have found the wreckage of a Shahed drone near the town of Etulia, Vulcănești district, after an attack on the south of Ukraine, the police press service reports

The wreckage was found near the Moldovan town of Etulia near the border with Ukraine.

Law enforcers are considering the possibility that it was a drone shot down by Ukrainian air defence.

"There is no risk or danger to the population in the area, and the authorities have taken all necessary measures to maintain public order, peace and security," the press service said.

On the night of February 10, Russia attacked the Izmail district of the Odesa region in Ukraine near the border with Moldova with a UAV.

"The discovery of Shahed drone debris in southern Moldova today serves as another stark reminder of the grim reality we face. Russia’s aggression endangers the entire continent. Support for Ukraine must continue," said Moldovan President Maia Sandu.
