Poland's operational command reports an 'unknown object'that flew into the country's airspace from Ukraine

An "unknown object" was spotted in Polish airspace that flew in from the territory of Ukraine during a massive Russian missile attack.

The press service of the Armed Forces Operational Command of Poland reported this.

"In the morning [December 29], an unknown aircraft flew into Polish airspace from the border with Ukraine, which was observed by radar of the country's air defence system from the moment it crossed the border until the signal disappeared," the statement said.

Residents of Dołhobyczów observed the object on the outskirts of Przewodów in Lublin Voivodeship. In 2022, a rocket that came from Russia's shelling of Ukraine exploded in this area. Witnesses heard noise and whistling.

According to the Polish radio station RMF24, a search is underway on the outskirts of the town of Zamość in the Lublin Voivodeship. There is no information about an explosion.

It will be recalled that on the morning of December 29, Russia launched a massive missile attack on Ukraine. Kyiv, Sumy region, Kharkiv, Dnipro, Odesa, Lviv, Zaporizhzhia and other cities were attacked. As of 10:20 a.m. Kyiv time, at least 12 people were killed and 76 injured. Search and rescue operations are ongoing. There are power cuts in cities and villages of Ukraine due to the shelling.
