Poland's Ministry of Infrastructure has announced that the country will step up checks on Ukrainian trucks at the border.

The Ministry of Infrastructure of Poland said in a statement.

It noted that this was one of the requirements of Polish carriers.

Minister Alvin Gajadhur also stressed that the Polish government will take measures in European institutions to eliminate "unfair competition in the transport market".

According to the minister, the upcoming summit of the EU Transport Council scheduled for Monday, December 4, "is the moment when the EU should raise the issue of the consequences of cancelling the requirement for Ukrainian drivers to have EU entry permits".
