Poland is investigating the attack on the Russian ambassador on May 9, in which Ukrainian journalist Iryna Zemliana is suspected

Zemlyana noted that on May 9 at the cemetery of Soviet soldiers in Warsaw, she poured beet juice on herself and it got on the ambassador. Currently, the journalist is the only identified person who was present at the action.

According to Zemliana, she turned to the Warsaw police after she had received numerous threats. Law enforcement officers responded that the situation was "very serious", so they would open a case and investigate the threats, and she was provided with protection.

In May, Russia opened criminal proceedings against Irina Zemliana and filed a request to Interpol to find the journalist.
