Paris City Council did not extend the contract to Dott, Lime, and Tier that rent electric scooters

The city of Paris has not renewed the contracts of the companies that provide electric scooters for rent for the city.
The French newspaper Le Figaro reported this.
Starting from September 1, only private electric scooters will be available on the city streets.
This decision was voted for by the majority of participants in a referendum held in Paris in April 2023.
By September 1, the companies will have to remove 15,000 self-service scooters. They will be moved to other cities in France or even other countries.
"We remove about 400 scooters a day. We will increase this figure to 750," says Erwann Le Page, Tier Mobility's Director of Public Relations for Western Europe.
Paris will be the first European capital to introduce a ban on e-scooters.
